Two guests from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Kenneth Ko and James Ikkers visited IRSA on October 17, to seek cooperation in commonly interested research fields.

Kenneth Ko is the Director of International Division, Earth Sciences sector at NRCan. This sector focuses on providing Canadians with maps, information, technology, standards and expertise in the fields of geosciences, geodesy, mapping, surveying, and remote sensing. He hoped to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation with IRSA within commonly interested domains such as climate change, natural hazards, and environment monitoring.

Both parties agreed to boost cooperation, firstly by communicating regularly through video conferences, with a hope to foster joint research programs.
