On 14th August, a group of 17 delegates from Thailand Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) came to visit our IRSA. The cooperation with Thai related organizations was started since 2007, the cooperation relationship between each unit maintains good. At July 2007, a group of 11 people from Thai Royal Family visited IRSA, and then Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency, Thai Minister of Science and Technology and IRSA signed a Cooperational Memorandum Understanding.
During their visit, Prof. Xingfa Gu, Prof. Jinnian Wang, Prof. Yun Shao, Prof. Qiu Yin, Prof. Xia Zhang and Dr. Qiangzi Li have attended the meeting with delegates of MOST. Researchers of IRSA introduced the new technology and achievement, especially in agricultural estimation and disaster and emergency areas. Thai delegates have showed their great interests. And also Prof. Wang introduced the result that has been achieved by our cooperation and further plan. At last, Prof. Gu represent IRSA gave all delegates his warmest welcome, at the same time, he hopes the great cooperation relationship between each other can move forward to another level. Deputy Permanent Secretary of MOST, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerapong Parisuwan thanked IRSA for the warm hospitality, and he agreed with Prof. Gu on cooperation suggestions, and invited Prof. Gu to the congress that will be held by MOST at the end of the year.
