Delegates of Egyptian National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences visit IRSA

As Prof. Gu xinfa, the general director of IRSA invited, the Chairman of Egyptian National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS) Prof. Ayman El-Dessouki, Chief Secretary Prof. Sayed Madany Arafat, the Director of Land Resource department Dr. Abd-Elaziz Belal and Director of Agriculture department Dr. Mohamed Amin Aboelghar visited IRSA from 15th May until 22nd May 2009.

 

 

Based on the intergovernmental cooperation on Science and technology between Chinese and Egyptian government, NARSS and IRSA built up a cooperated relationship, and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at 2007.

 

During their visit, they had a meeting with chief secretary of Chinese Academy of Science Prof. Tan Tieniu. Prof. Tan introduced the development of CAS in space science; CAS is willing to gather all experts in Remote Sensing area, in order to push the cooperation between each other. And he hopes that Egypt and China can cooperate in more areas, such as agriculture and environment.

 

While they visited IRSA, they paid a visit to atmospheric environment super monitoring station, Agriculture and Environment Remote Sensing Laboratory and Disaster and Emergency Remote Sensing Laboratory. NARSS and IRSA both agreed that they will intensify the academic cooperation and personnel training in remote sensing applications and other related areas.

 

Delegated of NARSS express their sincere gratitude to IRSA for warm reception. They showed a great interest in scientific work and achievements that have done by IRSA, they would like to cooperate with IRSA in remote sensing applications, and application of data from Egypt No. 1 satellite.
