A Joint Symposium of AutoCarto 2010 and the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Technical Commission IV, "Geodatabases and Digital Mapping", sponsored by the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and the Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS), was held in Orlando, Florida, USA on November 15-19, 2010.

Prof. Di Kaichang from the Planetary Mapping and Remote Sensing Laboratory of IRSA gave an oral report titled as “Chang-E 1 CCD Imagery and Laser Altimeter Data of High Precision” at the symposium of ISPRS Technical Commission IV. Prof. Di also presided over the theme session on the Navigation of Mars and Other Small Planets at ISPRS IV / 7 working group’s technical session themed as “Planetary Mapping and Databases”, which provided a platform for interaction among the experts specializing in lunar and planetary navigation from USA，European countries and China.
